Logan J Parker – Sweet Songs Of Love Review

An artist that is on our ones to watch list for 2021 is London based singer/songwriter Logan J Parker. 

Her recent release ‘Sweet Songs Of Love’ was written two Christmases’ ago for her then boyfriend who was away at the time. 

Parker describes that she “found it really hard to cope with many miles between us in such a special time of the year, so I wrote this song wishing it would somehow shorten the distance between us. Right before Christmas and after I sent him the song, he broke up with me via text message. I was heartbroken but I am glad I was able to write such a beautiful piece. I guess all songwriters can relate to this: pain creates art. There is no way around it.”

Although the story that lead to the creation of this song is a very heart-breaking one, ‘Sweet Songs Of Love’ remains one of Logan J Parker’s most romantic songs to date, especially lyric wise. The talented singer/songwriter really knows how to captivate a listener with a song that is so filled with love, depth and emotion. 

“There is a place I wanna go, with you my love”. 

“Is that radio still playing all those Irish songs? Dreams of love all night long,

Is your chest so warm, your voice in my soul". 

Parker is a singer, songwriter, producer, guitarist and pianist so this girl really is a star who has it all! Due to her devoted passion to music, her compositions range from a blend of old blues, soul, and 60’s rock and roll with a touch of modern day sophistication. 

Overall, the track is effortlessly flawless, uplifting and powerful with Parkers stunning vocals gripping the attention of the listener immediately, once you hear her voice you will be amazed by the talent this young lady has! Very big 60’s, blues, soul vibes with a mix of Amy Winehouse in there. Logan really knows how to create her distinctive sound. This is a song that we imagine would be played in a 60’s movie between two lovers or on a modern day date night in a 60’s restaurant, good vibes all around!
