10. I Really Like You by Carly Rae Jepsen

Kicking off the list at number ten is this cheesy classic that will have you up on your feet dancing along. This catchy pop song will leave you wanting to call up your crush and pour you heart out to them without hesitation. A bonus for the song is the fabulous video that stars the wonderful Tom Hanks and Justin Bieber that makes for a satisfying watch.

9.  Little of Your Love by Haim

At number nine we have another upbeat catchy song with stunning vocals by the sister trio Haim. This song highlights how love doesn’t always have to be as problematic as films and books make it out to be. Making it perfect to listen to with your loved one, to show them you don’t always have to give all of yourself to someone for them to love you back. It helps that the song is incredibly easy to dance to leaving you in a great mood after listening to it.

8. Love on Top by Beyoncé

Queen Bee has provided us with the perfect song to sing along to this Valentine’s day, whether it be alone or with a significant other. Beyoncé has given us a sweet love song that highlights the importance of your other half and all their admirable characteristics. The ones that leave you feeling very in love with them, making this a wonderful tune to blast through your speakers. Letting Beyoncé communicate how much you adore that special individual in your life.

7. Like I’m Gonna Lose You by Meghan Trainor Ft. John Legend

This powerful love ballad by this remarkable duo leaves us feeling thankful for all those precious moments we get to spend with our loved ones. This includes friends and family. The song portrays how easily we take for granted the time we have together and the need to savour that time that we get with each other. So, grab your loved ones and hug them tight when listening to this eye-opening ballad.

6. I Have Nothing by Whitney Houston

This list wouldn’t be complete without a song from the iconic Whitney Houston. This song belonging to the soundtrack of The Bodyguard (which we highly recommend watching if you haven’t already) exposes the vulnerable aspects of a relationship. The side of a relationship that is rarely discussed and how lost you can become without the person you love in your life. This is another wonderful song to
show how much your loved one means to you.

5. Still Into You by Paramore

Paramore are a band famous for their pop punk songs, but this song proves they could probably sing any genre of music and we’d all still be obsessed with it. This anthem is a song that will resonate with people in a long-term relationship who still catch butterflies when their partner is in a close proximity and is sure to bring a smile to your SO’s face.

4. Lover by Taylor Swift

Truthfully, we could include the entirety of Taylor Swift’s repertoire on this list, but we picked the song that stood out to us the most as being suited for Valentine’s Day. Although it was a tough decision, this song off Taylor’s latest album had to take the number one spot. Arguably her best song lyrically, it takes us on a journey of the emotions of being in a loving relationship and makes for superb listening on Valentine’s Day.

3. The One by Kodaline

This remarkable song will stick with anybody who has ever been in love. The exquisite melody and captivating lyrics take the audience through a story of finding the love of your life and realizing this is the person you want to spend the rest of your life with. It can’t get much more romantic than this.
