Grooveline - Blind Review

Grooveline have released their debut EP Blind, consisting of four-tracks with different styles and genres.

 
Blind, has a range of musical styles from punk to rock and trad mixing well to create an incredible listen, especially on the first track ‘Would I Lie’, which includes electric riffs, catchy lines, and infectious energy.
Their high spirits are present moving along to ‘Final Line’ which includes funky tones.
The title-track ‘Blind’ is a trad infused folk track that is an electrifying great listen.
Closing out the EP with ‘Nature’s Sound’, includes an electric rock-alike sound breathing more life into the record with pride.


Blind, is an exciting listen as the band come from diverse musical backgrounds to combine their influences to create a captivating and dramatic sound of rock and funk melodies and grooves fusing together with excellence to express their talents and love for making music in-turn creating a distinctive sound.


Overall, the EP is a great debut record with captivating songs that will be a great gig to attend in time to jam out to Grooveline’s epic performance.




Grooveline members are vocalist and guitarist Evan Gerry, guitarist Tarach Ó Snodaigh, guitarist Matthew Connolly, bassist Glen Feely, and drummer Bronwyn Kirwan. They are an award-winning five-piece band from county Leitrim, and it’s clear to see why their talents are turning heads in their direction with the fantastic storytelling and production on this debut release.


Notable mentions are that in 2018 they won a national song competition with their debut single 'Deis Dall' and have played many sold out gigs and festivals since, including Electric Picnic 2019. They were nominated for best up and coming band and for song of the year at the 2019 and 2020 NÓS awards and have their debut single playlisted on radio stations such as Radió na Gaeltachta, Radió Rí rá, and Ocean FM.
