Fast Car To Florence Review - English Skin

                                     English Skin Review

Fast Car to Florence are the latest exciting new band that we’ve been keeping our eyes on!

The frenetic rock duo was formed in the summer of 2016 when Isaac Anderson (Lead guitar/vocals) met Chris Barber (drums) by a chance encounter on a video shoot in Nottingham, UK.

Earlier this year we saw the release of their biggest hit at the minute “CRY” which is about the innate human connection to music.

The band is now set to release their next biggest hit with the release of their new single “English Skin,” which is out today at 5pm. Anderson describes this song as “An old Fast Car to Florence song which has been completely remastered into something new! We think it’s a tune that you will all hopefully love and enjoy!”.

Here’s what we’ve got to say about it...

This song reminds us of something we’d listen to during the summer, on a beach with friends or a summer love. Issac is a fantastic frontman full of rhythm and energy, we love his edgy guitar that gives us very early The 1975/Catfish and the Bottlemen vibes. The chemistry between Isaac and Chris is absolutely outstanding, and they both really compliment each other when it comes to Fast Car to Florence’s music.

The song starts off with an edgy guitar line and drum fill that immediately grabs our attention and lifts our mood. Lyrics such as “She said, can I leave the light on? I’m not thinking very straight but if I could I would take you home with me, just to take the blues away.” reminds us of a drunk summer night out with a summer love. The chorus is extremely catchy and upbeat with the lyrics “Did I say too much again?” echoing. It immediately lifts our mood and gets us nodding along to the beat. We love the edgy, raw and unpolished vibe which makes it for a great sounding track that everyone will enjoy. The melody is extremely catchy. These guys have a lot of potential and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for them as it seems very exciting.

We will be sure to let you know as soon as possible when we hear of any tour dates coming from them.

For now, we hope you all enjoy their latest track.
