Unsent Letters Review
Lewis Kelly, a 17-year-old singer/songwriter from Manchester is leaving behind a high impression with his compelling voice and relatable lyrics. The young musician has fans waiting in anticipation for the drop of his debut EP ‘Unsent Letters’. The EP features the incredible single 'Love Me a Little Longer’. Along with his touching charity single ‘Despair to Hope’ for the Irish Cancer Society.
Lewis sets out to release his first collection of music on Friday the 7th of February after the magnificent 2019 he had. The beginning of this year saw his first Irish performance in the iconic Dublin music venue Whelans alongside some big names including Irish Rock/Pop band Saarloos.
This year is looking to be a big one for the young singer songwriter, which is kicking off with the release of
However, as we predicted the rest of the EP lived up to its
expectations to be full of sad songs with soft melodies underlying the rich
vocals. Suburban Skies is a perfect example of this with the vocals taking the
forefront of the song highlighting the melancholy lyrics that capture the
listener’s attention from the first verse. The other new track on the EP is
Lost, this song has some deep tones of sorrow running through it that starts
off slow and builds up as the song goes on.
We knew from the outset that this EP would be a fantastic
assortment of songs with exceptionally well-written lyrics and it certainly
didn’t disappoint us. We expect big things from this young lad who’s full of
talent and potential. We highly recommend that everyone go stream this new
music now and go see him live if you get the chance before he blows up and
tickets become hard to find. Between Ed Sheeran and Lewis Capaldi vibes off his
music and voice you can’t say we didn’t tell you when he ends up being the next
big thing.
Unsent Letters will be available to stream from midnight
tonight on Spotify, iTunes, Apple Music and all other major streaming services.
